Who We Are
Melissa Thornley operates at the intersection of the left brain and right brain. Specializing in emotional intelligence and instinctive working styles, she delivers customized group and individual programming to organizations large and small.
Melissa is known for her contagious energy and passion for turning intangible concepts into tangible outcomes. Her results-oriented approach is based on equal parts inspiration and perspiration. Whether it’s a virtual presentation on emotional intelligence or a multiple session program for women leaders, client collaboration and customization are the foundation of Melissa’s approach.
Her clients benefit from Melissa’s years of experience as an advertising/film industry executive. Melissa led creative teams in Chicago, New York, and London. Previous clients include McDonald’s, Walgreens, Anheuser Busch, Nike, Capital One, Coca-Cola and PBS.
As the former Chicago Director of the Institute for Management Studies, Melissa collaborated with talent and leadership departments of Fortune 500 companies on leadership initiatives to serve emerging leaders to senior level executives.
In addition to her traditional business background, she often draws upon her training in improv and mindfulness. She keeps her own creative juices flowing through kung fu, dance, yoga, and writing.
Melissa holds certifications in two leadership assessments: Kolbe, which looks at natural strengths and problem-solving instincts and the EQi2.0, which measures the skills that make up emotional intelligence. She’s also certified by the ICF (International Coaching Federation) as well as the Coaches Training Institute, and Tiara International.
